Frostbite
By R and R
A light snow dust covers the ground
As our feet crunch and break the crust
Letting our toes sink into the white moss
Chills run up our legs and across our spine
Our inner fire burns bright melting our shiver
Step after step we wade deeper
Into the white ocean that spans before us
Up to our knees the frigid snow surrounds our being
Like a tear drop lost in the pouring rain
We are completely absorbed by the blizzard
Unintentionally abandoned by the world
But content, we continue onward
Knowing the risk would be worth the reward
We venture out fully confident in ourselves
Unafraid of the vicious climate
We stride beyond with no specific destination
Never looking back to place we came from
It is not about where, not about when
Pure adventure, begins within
